"Sanook" means "Fun"

"Sanook" in Thai means "fun" and it's what Thai's love having. If something is "mai sanook", "not fun" then don't do it. It's a central theme around life in Thailand and everyone is out to have it, it's why the country has earned the reputation of being the "Land of the Smiles". Taking life too seriously is just not fun so it's not done.
